Health & Safety Policy
How we protect the health and safety of our clients and practitioners.
Last reviewed: October 2026. This policy sets out how Eve Electrolysis protects the health and safety of clients and practitioners.
Our commitment
Eve Electrolysis is committed to managing health and safety risks, preventing accidents and work-related ill health, and maintaining a safe, clean and professional environment for every client and practitioner.
Infection prevention and control
Every treatment uses a new, sterile probe, opened in front of you, used only once and then disposed of as clinical waste. Work surfaces and equipment are disinfected between clients with clinical-grade products, single-use consumables are used wherever appropriate, and hand hygiene is observed throughout. Sharps and clinical waste are removed by a licensed clinical-waste contractor.
Equipment and electrical safety
Our electrolysis equipment is maintained and serviced in line with the manufacturer’s guidance, and portable electrical equipment is subject to regular safety testing.
Products and substances (COSHH)
Products used in the clinic are assessed under COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and are stored, handled and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Risk assessments
We carry out a risk assessment of the premises and a risk assessment for each treatment we offer, and we review these regularly and whenever something changes.
Fire safety and emergencies
Fire safety measures and clear evacuation procedures are in place, and our emergency procedures are reviewed regularly.
First aid and accident reporting
A stocked first aid kit is kept on site and maintained, and an accident book is kept and reviewed so that any incident is recorded and learned from.
Client safety and consultation
Every client completes a full consultation, medical history and contraindication screening before treatment. Where treatment would not be safe we will decline or postpone it and, where appropriate, ask for written GP permission. We treat adults aged 18 and over only.
Training and standards
Treatments are carried out by qualified practitioners (VTCT Level 3) who are fully insured and committed to ongoing professional development.
Review
This policy is reviewed regularly and updated to reflect changes in practice, equipment or regulation.
